I got a huge commission this month from my boss, don't ask me why exactly. And yes, it did kinda freak me and I do not feel save anymore in my working environment. However I'd be lying if I said I didn't appreciate the money. I wanted to get something really nice for that money and since it wasn't all too little what I got, I wanted to get something special for a change. I looked into numerous shops and then I saw it, the Siemens SL55. Fascinated by the era that surrounded the Siemens SL55, pure elegance, I couldn't believe my eyes, I took a closer look at the Siemens SL55. Wow, I couldn't imagine that the Siemens SL55 had all those features on top of its looks.
In contrast to its "big bro" (the Siemens S55 with 256 colours) the Siemens SL55 already has a colour-diversity of 4.096 colours. The Siemens SL55 owns a flexible memory in addition to that its memory has a capacity of 1,62 MB. The Siemens SL55 is a so called "slide" device. U can just slide the visible surface of the Siemens SL55 upwards and the keypad of the Siemens SL55 will appear beneath it. When sliding the surface, the keypad lock of the Siemens SL55 will deactivate itself automatically. The sliding-procedure of the Siemens SL55 functions smoothly.
Accepting incoming phone calls with the Siemens SL55 can be handled in two different ways, either u press the green handset-button or u slide the Siemens SL55. The latter works way better and u'll get used to doing that automatically after a while. It's kinda hard to hit the handset-key since the Siemens SL55 has minimum dimensions of 8,2 x 4,5 x 2,2 mm.
The keypad of the Siemens SL55 is really felicitous, since the single keys are not placed too close to another, despite of the tiny size of the Siemens SL55. Only the navigation key of the Siemens SL55 is kinda hard to be accessed and it doesn't function all too good. Something to improve next time, dear Siemens-developers.
The Siemens SL55 is a TriBand device, equipped with a Lithium-Polymer battery. The standby time of this battery adds up to about 200 hours and the talk time up to 210 minutes. Recharging the battery of the Siemens SL55 takes about 2 hours.
Almost unbelievable, but true about the telephone book of the Siemens SL55: the telephone book covers a 500 addresses with 14 entries each. Insane!
Various columns can be filled out: surname, name, home number, office number, mobile number, fax number, 2. fax number, e-mail, 2. e-mail, URL. Even arranging entries by groups is possible: family, friends, office, VIP, leisure, private and business. Birthdays and city can be saved as well on the Siemens SL55. All this info will be displayed if the specific person calls u on the Siemens SL55.
Transferring data is as easy as possible, it is part of the code of honor of the Siemens SL55. The possibility of synchronizing the Siemens SL55 with MS Outlook is really helpful. The Siemens SL55 is well equipped with an IrDA-interface, GPRS (cl. 10) and an integrated fax modem, one could only lack bluetooth. U can download polyphonic ringer tones with the Siemens SL55 and of course they can as well be composed. Screensaver can be found on the Siemens SL55 in addition to that.
The voice-command of the Siemens SL55 functions without the slightest problem, same with the hands-free system of the Siemens SL55. Further extras of the Siemens SL55 are an organizer with a reminder, a calculator, a currency converter, a dictaphone, vibratory alert, alarm, chronometer and of course EMS and MMS. The extendable T9-software of the Siemens SL55 is especially helpful when writing SMS. Picture messages are a nice bonus of the Siemens SL55.
Through a pluggable camera, which is however not included in the delivery of the Siemens SL55, the Siemens SL55 transforms into a multimedia talent. The pics with the camera of the Siemens SL55 are poignant and easily forwarded.
The integrated games of the Siemens SL55 are designed complex but guarantee a lot of fun. Thanks to the java-application of the Siemens SL55 new games can be downloaded whenever desired.
Operating the menu of the Siemens SL55 is really cheap, shouldn't be much of a problem to anyone.
The reception- and sound quality of the Siemens SL55 are both exceptionally brilliant, despite of the integrated antenna of the Siemens SL55.
U can get the Siemens SL55 in two different variations, either Titanium or Ruby. I personally prefer the Titanium model.
I am satisfied with the Siemens SL55 in each and every term. Small, but impressing, that's how the Siemens SL55 is themed. The Siemens SL55 is a true delicacy, optical as well as technical.
Recommended without any restrictions, that's my resume of the Siemens SL55.
